What an excellent read this was! You perfectly articulated something that's been on my mind a lot recently.

I'm a newer writer who's been stuck in the rut of writing "nice" content instead of saying what's in my heart. A couple of weeks ago I tried publishing something more real -- and controversial -- and I've been blown away from the response to it. It's my first "flaming train wreck" experience, and hopefully there will be many more to come!
