Thank you for sharing that. Eating disorders add another really complex layer to the “diet debate”, and it sounds to me like you did what you needed to do for your daughter’s sake as well as your own. I can very much relate to needing more iron and protein — especially iron (which tends to be my Achilles’ heel) — but I too am bothered by the way animals are often treated. I think that eating conscientiously is the best we can do no matter what diet we choose!
