I'm not sure if you meant this statement the way it sounds, but this feels problematic. People going through trauma need compassion and empathy, not to be told that their feelings are wrong.

I appreciate where you are coming from, and I think there's much we can control about how we react to things, but sometimes, it's healthy and normal to feel sadness, fear, anxiety in response to things that happen in our lives. Refusing to acknowledge those feelings does more harm than good.
