Hey Brenda, I'm a newer writer on Medium as well. I know it can be discouraging to read articles like this, but new writers can still get traction on here. I've found that it's not all about the follows; your work can still get visibility if it gets curated or published in publications. It might take a while to make real money, but I don't think Medium wants to keep new writers from being successful.
